About us

Our work, and the principles behind it.

GovCore builds regulatory operations software for licensing boards and government agencies. The work is public administration carried out through software, and we approach it on those terms.

Foundations

Our principles.

These are the commitments we hold ourselves to in demonstrations, procurement responses, security reviews and delivery. We set them out here so that an agency can hold us to them.

01

Integrity before advantage

We take pride in prices with no surprises. We do not bid low to win an award and then recover the difference through change fees. If your scope grows, we tell you the cost before we start the work.

02

The work is public service

Our software administers licensing the public depends on. Continuity, accuracy and accessibility are obligations of that role rather than product features.

03

Trust rests on the record

Reviewers examine regulatory decisions long after staff make them. We build systems that can account for what happened, and we hold our own conduct to the same standard.

04

Delivery, not announcement

We measure ourselves on what is in service at an agency, not on what we have described. We commit only to dates that we can meet.

05

Regulatory knowledge alongside engineering

Statute, regulation and precedent govern licensing. We expect our people to understand the rules a programme operates under, not only the system that implements them.

06

Direct answers to hard questions

Security reviews, audits and procurement questionnaires deserve direct responses. Where GovCore does not do something, we say so.

Open roles

We are hiring.

We recruit people who want to work on public-sector systems of record. They must also learn the statutory context that those systems operate in. All roles require an extensive background check, as applicable law permits.

Demonstrations

See the platform against your own requirements.

We provide demonstrations to government agencies at no cost. They create no obligation. We work through your own licence types, workflows and reporting requirements, not a generic configuration.
