Questions

The questions agencies ask, answered directly.

What the platform does, where the data lives, how an agency buys it, and who we are.

Platform

What does GovCore do?
GovCore Inc. builds regulatory operations software for licensing boards and government agencies. The platform holds licensing, renewals, continuing education, compliance, enforcement and reporting on one shared record. The platform
Who uses GovCore?
Licensing boards, occupational regulators and the agencies that issue permits. GovCore serves agencies in the United States and Canada.
Can an agency change a licensing workflow without a software release?
Yes. An agency defines licensing workflows as configuration, not as code. The process matches the statute that governs it. When the statute changes, staff revise the process.Configuration & integration
Does GovCore have an API?
Yes. Every capability has an API. GovCore also provides webhooks and event streaming, so an agency can connect the systems it already runs.Configuration & integration
How does GovCore handle continuing education?
GovCore holds continuing education requirements as rules. Licensees log their own hours against the rules. A renewal cycle verifies the hours, calculates the fee and takes payment.Compliance & continuing education
How does GovCore use AI?
The AI drafts, triages, summarizes and retrieves. A person makes every regulatory decision. GovCore records each use of AI, and a reviewer can examine it afterwards.AI for regulators
Which AI models process agency data?
Generative assistance runs on the Google Gemini and Anthropic Claude families of models. An agency sets the model configuration per agency and per record type. GovCore does not enable AI in an area that the agency has not selected.AI for regulators

Security & data

Where does agency data reside?
GovCore stores regulatory data in the country it came from. Residency is available in the United States and in Canada. The data does not leave the region that an agency selects.Security & compliance
Which security framework does GovCore map its controls to?
GovCore maps its controls to NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5. The map covers all twenty control families. It marks who operates each family, because two of them belong to the operator of the data centre. The control map
What is the position on FedRAMP?
The cloud platform GovCore runs on holds its own FedRAMP authorization. GovCore stores United States data on that FedRAMP-authorized cloud infrastructure.Security & compliance
How does GovCore separate one agency's data from another's?
GovCore isolates each agency's data at the storage layer.
How does GovCore encrypt data?
GovCore encrypts data at rest and in transit with FIPS 140-validated cryptographic modules. The GovCore cryptographic design follows FIPS 140-3.Security & compliance
How do staff sign in?
Single sign-on through SAML 2.0, multi-factor authentication, and role-based access control. Scoped tokens and service accounts cover system access.
What happens to a file that a member of the public uploads?
GovCore scans every file that arrives from the public. It releases the file only after a clean result.
What uptime does GovCore achieve?
GovCore runs at 99.9% uptime. This is performance we have achieved. It is not a level we promise in a contract. A public status board shows current service.System status
Who handles payment card data?
The certified payment processors handle payment cards. An agency keeps the payment processor it already has.Payments & revenue
