We're growing rapidly and looking for talented people who share our passion for public protection.
The Role
We're looking for a Software Architect to help design and build the next generation of our government licensing platform. You'll work directly with our founder and CEO — himself a hands-on software architect — to shape technical direction, mentor developers, and deliver high-scale solutions that serve millions of users.
Responsibilities

- Lead technical decisions across the full stack (Java, React, TypeScript, Next.JS, Laravel, PostgreSQL, Google Cloud Platform)
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into elegant solutions
- Establish and maintain coding standards, best practices, and technical documentation
- Mentor and guide junior developers
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies, including AI capabilities (Gemini Pro 3.0)
- Ensure platform performance, reliability, and security meet government requirements
Requirements
- 8+ years of software development experience with at least 3 years in an architecture role
- Strong experience with Java, TypeScript, React, Next.JS, Laravel and PostgreSQL
- Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred, AWS acceptable)
- Experience designing systems that scale to millions of users
- Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication skills — able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, founder-led environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with government or regulatory technology
- Familiarity with AI/ML integration
- Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, or StateRAMP compliance
What We Offer
- Competitive salary and equity
- Direct collaboration with an experienced founder who understands technology
- Opportunity to shape the technical direction of a growing company
- Work that matters — helping regulatory agencies protect the public
- Flexible hybrid work environment
